TranscriptGrab

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026 · Applies to transcriptgrab.pages.dev (and any custom domain we use for this service).

1. The short version

TranscriptGrab is a free YouTube transcript extractor that works without accounts. We do not ask for your name, email or payment details, we do not build user profiles, and we do not sell personal data. Video URLs you paste are used only to fetch that video's caption track on demand — transcripts are delivered to your browser and are not stored by us. Like almost every website, we use third-party advertising partners that may set cookies or similar technologies to measure and personalize the ads you see. This page explains exactly what that means and the rights you have.

2. Information we process

3. Advertising partners (important)

This site is funded by advertising. We work with third-party ad networks such as Propeller Ads and Adsterra. Depending on the page, these partners may deliver display banners, video ads, floating footer banners, audio ads or sponsored links (including "smartlink" direct links). These partners and their advertisers may use cookies, web beacons, device identifiers and similar technologies to measure ad performance and, where you have consented, to personalize or frequency-cap the ads you see. Depending on your region, an interactive consent notice may be shown before such technologies run. You can learn more and exercise your choices directly in each partner's privacy policy:

Careful: clicking an ad or a sponsored link takes you to the advertiser's or partner's website, which is governed by its own privacy practices. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content or data handling. We never see the personal data advertisers collect on their side.

4. Cookies and how to control them

The tool itself works without cookies. Cookies and similar identifiers on this site come from our advertising partners for measurement, anti-fraud and ad-frequency purposes. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, or use private/incognito mode. Blocking advertising cookies does not disable the transcript extractor — it keeps working exactly the same.

5. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have rights under the GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection to processing, plus the right to complain to your supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, to correct it and to opt out of "sharing/selling" it — without discrimination. Because we do not maintain user accounts or profiles, most requests concern data held by our advertising partners, and the fastest route is to use the opt-out controls those partners provide (linked above). You can also contact us (section 8) and we will forward or assist where we can.

6. Children

TranscriptGrab is a productivity utility and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

7. International transfers

Our hosting and advertising partners operate globally; data may be processed in the United States and other countries. Transfers from the EEA rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or partner standard contractual clauses.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the service or the law; the "last updated" date above will always show the current version. Questions or requests? Contact us at [YOUR-EMAIL-HERE] or through the contact details on our About page.
